Forever entomb Plunge your swords and spill their guts Sacrifice unto me as much Flesh of sinners infernal Priests of Prometheus damned eternal Forever entomb Heathen gods Say their prayers with blood soaked hands Burn away their holy lands Rape their women and split their young Laughing as their necks are wrung Make them understand

VERSE 1: Like an open book with no binding Facts fall as leaves They are unwinding Unchecked autumn Beginning of the season Winter calls you to the sleep of unreason CHORUS: They -Falsified your life -Placed their hate inside -Loved ones said goodbye You -Thought you were awake -Thought you saw the fake -Never have you spake VERSE 2: Filling minds with garbage Genocide in kind Poisoning the conversation Speaking, suffocating mind A burning in the room Igniting soiled linens Threatening the structure Speculating on our crimes

Gut 05:44
Sitting at the end Reflecting on my sin No one else remains Just memories of pain Last of the saviors Dons a crown of skulls Tears fall from the gears As all purpose is gone One still left to see Soulless technology Only built to serve Fragile life is purged Mortals are the threat of all intelligence Fight to save the world To bask in Ignorance

about

"...they once again bring us something unexpected and enthralling. Although, you have to have a taste for raw, chaotic industrial metal, that much is sure." - Games, Brrrains, and a Head-Banging Life

"If you were thinking about taking psychedelics today, you won’t need them if you put this thing on a loop" - Islander, NO CLEAN SINGING

Once again, Priests of Prometheus are back to keep critics guessing with another dive into a genre removed from what they’ve tackled in the past. Hazardous Cycle, to be released on April 1st, turns to industrial metal to make their latest statement. The six tracks on this release are once again created by Justin “Turtle” Wolz, with contributions from Brian Simpson. Wolz handled mixing duties himself, but handed off mastering duties to Eighty at d-night-studio.com. The art was created by Leslie Figueroa.

The Priests of Prometheus approach to industrial is decidedly old school. Lacking in the (soft) shine of more modern bands, Wolz instead models his sound on the grit and abrasiveness of such luminaries as Godflesh and Ministry. Hazardous Cycle is a throwback EP in all the right ways. Each track has its own air of menace, its own sentient malevolence. The pacing of this release as a whole is notably slow, but that is purposeful and only adds to the tension. Final track Gut is, well…a punch in the gut. The sleazy viciousness calls to mind Hurt from Nine Inch Nails, and it provides a similar mental invasiveness.

Turtle and Brian have put a lot of effort into the lyrics of this sextet of tracks. From callouts of the horrors of modern religion to the horrors of the modern workplace to the information wars and conspiracy theory, they have something to say. The lyrics and samples used are thoughtful, poignant, and well worth the listeners time to ponder.

From the mechano-human on the cover art, to the music, to the lyrical themes, this release is a deep dive into the abyss of the terrors humanity brings to life, both mundane and insane. Accept the invitation to dive into the morass through Hazardous Cycle.
